Combat Basics
In DC Legends, players will take turns with the enemy selecting attacks and their targets. When it is your turn in battle, your active Hero will have a blue ring around their feet and the lower right corner of the screen will show this Hero’s abilities. You can see a description of each of these abilities by long pressing them. Keep in mind that not all abilities are attacks! Some will heal or boost allies, and others will cast negative effects on your opponents. Every character has an attack that they can use every turn, but most of your Heroes more powerful moves will need several turns to recharge before they can be used again, so be sure to plan your strategy carefully.
Once you’ve decided, tap the move you wish to use and then tap your target. Your Hero will then perform the ability and it will be the next heroes turn. When all your enemies are thwarted, you will emerge victorious and you will earn rewards from your battle!
The Watchtower
Welcome home. When you’re not in the heat of battle, you will return to The Watchtower to plan out your next moves. Here is a rundown of some of the different areas in The Watchtower and their uses.
Heroes
As you make progress against Nekron’s forces, you will come up against stronger opponents. To defeat these more powerful enemies, you will need to strengthen your Heroes and expand your roster. In the Heroes menu you can select a Hero you’ve already unlocked to upgrade them or unlock new Heroes once you’ve collected enough fragments.
Teams
You know how the saying goes: a strong man is strongest alone. But when you need to change your tactics and unite the worlds, thankfully you can create 6 preset Hero combinations from the Teams menu which you can easily swap between before a battle. The first member of each is the leader, and if that Hero has a ‘Team Leader’ Super Power it will convey a bonus!
Missions
There are several types of missions that you can complete to earn additional rewards and become a hero greater than a king.
Daily Missions provide you with a list of tasks you can complete daily to earn Essence Gems, XP, and other rewards. Once you complete all your Daily Missions, Legendary Missions will become available that enable you to earn even more Epic Rewards.
As you achieve milestones in the Campaign, you will complete associated Campaign Missions. Each of these missions can only be completed once and will award Green Essence, Essence Gems, and Hero Fragments.
Campaign
Campaign is where you can journey beyond the edge of the world and initiate the game’s core missions and progress the story. Completing campaign battles awards XP, Hero fragments, upgrade items, and Speed Force. Speed Force is used to speed through battles you’ve already completed with a Three Star rank and earn additional rewards. Once you have completed a campaign mission, you can return to it at the increased ‘Heroic’ difficulty to earn even greater rewards!
Hero Challenges
Legend has it one day a new king will come who will use the power of the trident to put Atlantis back together again. But if it's part of a Hero Challenge make sure to do it quickly because those are limited to events! To add to the challenge, some of these battles will have special conditions. These battles will change frequently, so be sure to check back to see the newest available rewards!
Upgrade Events
You may think you know how to swim, but you're not even close. As you upgrade your Heroes, you will need additional items to help them hone their abilities and increase their strength in battle. You can earn these items in special limited time Upgrade Events. These events change every day of the week, with all of them being open on Sundays. Don’t miss an opportunity to earn rare upgrade materials!
Alliance
Permission to come aboard? In the Alliance menu you can join an Alliance of other players, where you can chat and work together to be a part of something deeper. If you don’t see an Alliance that you’d like to join, you can always create your own!
Alliance Missions
Alliance Missions are where you can work together with members of your alliance to earn points that will reward all Alliance members with Alliance Essence. Alliance Essence can be used in the ‘Social’ section of store to purchase exclusive packs!
PVP Arena
Take your rightful place as king... of the leaderboards by competing in the PvP Arena using blue PvP Energy. Each victory against other players will provide you with trophies. Collect these trophies to climb the leaderboards to earn rewards. The Wraith Arena is always available and will reset weekly. Other featured Arenas will be available periodically with unique requirements and conditions. These limited time Arenas offer special rewards to those who climb their leaderboards!
Cloud Saving
With the information included this guide you'll be ready to save your home and the people you love. Just make sure that your game is backed up using a Game Center or Google Play account by tapping the gear icon in the upper right of the main screen, checking that you are signed in under ’Social’ so all your progress is secure!
