Ignored by his people, Vril Dox had to witness the destruction of his world Colu by a mysterious force. With his vast 12th level intellect, he then ventured across the universe to preserve other worlds from destruction by collecting them as miniaturized cities. With cold calculation, innumerable cities were captured by Brainiac, including the lost Kryptonian city of Kandor, until he reached Earth and faced it's mighty protectors including the last son of Krypton, Superman.
