August Game Update
Brace yourself for a month through Time and Space as Booster Gold and Captain Atom arrive in DC Legends! Joining them are this month’s reworks: Reverse Flash: Professor Zoom and Firestorm: The Nuclear Man.
BOOSTER GOLD: 25TH CENTURY HERO
In the year 2462, Michael Jon Carter, quarterback of the University of Gotham, lost everything thanks to gambling issues. Taking a job as a janitor in the Space Museum, he learned about superheroes and about how they were true legends in their time. Inspired by their actions, he stole several exhibitions in the museum and traveled back in time to the present to embark on a new career as the superhero Booster Gold.
With the help of his Power Suit, Booster Gold is able to identify all his targets and deal huge damage. He helps his teammates with shields that provide them protection and purge harmful states.
CAPTAIN ATOM: QUANTUM FIELD MAN
When Captain Nathaniel Adam was accused by the U.S. Air Force of a crime he didn't commit, he was given a choice between execution or taking part in a dangerous experiment. Choosing the latter, the test involved exploding a nuclear device to check an alien metal's durability. Nate's skin was bonded with the metal, and he was sent two decades into the future. Given incredible powers over the Quantum Field, he would become the superhero Captain Atom.
Fueled by the Quantum Field, Captain Atom's attacks can phase through most barriers. He can also inflict enemies with Disease, which causes them to deal damage to their team and has a chance to spread the condition around.
FIRESTORM: THE NUCLEAR MAN
Thanks to a strange accident, young Jason Rusch and brilliant Martin Stein find themselves bound by the mysterious power of the Firestorm matrix. Jason, a teenager struggling to work his way off the mean streets of Detroit now shares a body with Professor Stein, a brilliant Nobel prize-winning physicist. Together, the mismatched pair share their experience and knowledge in a single body that wields the awesome nuclear powers of Firestorm.
With the advice of Prof. Stein, he can deliver potent nuclear energy attacks as well as shield himself and his team.
REVERSE FLASH: PROFESSOR ZOOM
Born in the 25th Century, Eobard Thawne was consumed by an obsession for the Flash. When Thawne discovered he was destined to become the legendary hero’s greatest nemesis, the revelation unhinged his mind. The brilliant Thawne worked to recreate the accident that gave Flash his speed and developed the Negative Speed Force formula, giving him even greater powers than his idol. With the ability to slip through time, Thawne torments the Flash from the future.
By moving at superhuman speed, he delivers devastating attacks, steals speed energy and even reverses time to restore himself.
